About Me

Tennis Racket

I attended college in the "Victorian Village by the Canal", Brockport NY, but hail from a small suburb of Rochester. During my high school years, I became enamored with the written word, eventually forging a love of stories that would influence my decision to pursue writing as a career as well as a passion. I find that there is nothing quite as satisfying as watching a piece coalesce before my eyes. After earning my Bachelors degree in English, I took a job working the education beat at the Cortland Standard, a daily in the heart of the state. There I learned the ins and outs of working at a daily newspaper, covering school board meetings, the effects of state and federal educational reforms and everything in between. I also covered the campuses of SUNY Cortland and Tompkins Cortland Community College, known locally as TC3. Outside of writing, I enjoy a good film, a mean song on the banjo and above all, a vigorous tennis match (or maybe just watching one on tv).
